Ain't that the truth! Hard work, long hours, low pay, what's not to love? You are a young guy. Lot's of better higher paying jobs out there. Higher Education of some sort should be your #1 priority. If you want to do this as a hobby that's great. For a Career it sucks. I left College to do this work.
That was a huge mistake. Too late for me but you have your whole adult life ahead of you.Example, my three roommates and myself freshman year in College.
Me, Painter, bodyman very little to show for it.
First room mate, very high up position at Microsoft. Makes several million a year.
Second room mate, Senior VP at a Gaming (Casino) company. Makes several million a year.
Third room mate....former Pastor, currently serving a 12 year sentence in a New Mexico Prison.

Doing this stuff as a hobby is great, but it's a long hard road doing it for a living.

build and sell. do not work for the public . it only takes one whiny ass customer to sour you on this. i was blessed by a great customer base . all repeat . i learned to pick out the assholes right away and pass on their work . if they come at you with treat me right and i'll bring you a lot of work tell them to pound sand your not looking to hire a marketing firm . they all lie .

100 hours to prep for 30 minutes of spraying.
Don't rush the last details;
-wipe down and tacking
-dust control
-careful paint mixing
-gun setup
-PPE
-flash times and paint windows
You will likely get trash, peel and runs. Don't freak out, most can be fixed with great results.
Relax and have fun. The booth is the payoff for the work.
