Mixing PPG DBC base coat and SPI Universal clear together, in same container.

The BC is reduced/rts before mixing with clear, correct?

anytime i have done this i do not reduce the base. just add to the clear, for me usually 50/50 then once its mixed if i feel it needs a little reducer then i may add a touch of it. the less the better. the more you add the more transparent the color will end up giving you even more crappy coverage than what you will have already.

True I wasn’t really thinking of that. Next time I’m in need I’ll try as you say…and if I feel needs thinning add a little after.
