Hello everyone,
My sister in law got in an accident. Light hit in a front. Insurance adjustment was done by photos. They wrote to replace bumper, fender, fender bracket. They sent check to her. Today i started disassembling the car and found out that one of headlight bracket is broken. Is there any way she can ask to add this to replace? I am not a body shop, just trying to help her with it.
Thank you

You'll have to contact the adjuster (listed on the estimate) and tell them you need to do a supplement. Get it all torn down, make notes of any additional damage, take pictures of the damage and then you will send the pics of the damage and what you need that is not included. You should also get additional labor time for repairing said damage. Tell them your situation, you are repairing it for you SIL, and that you are a bodyguy. Make sure they give you the labor time in addition to the parts. The Adjuster will walk you through it or will put you in contact with someone who will. Often they will come out and rewrite the estimate after viewing. Ask if that is a possibility.

Take pictures of the broken part, the new part, and the receipt for the part and turn those into the agent. You should have no problem.

In my area most ins co's will not send out a adjuster anymore and they want invoices on any parts but like Chris said place a call into them.
