How to properly patch a frame

A penny size hole wouldn't worry the average truck buyer, I'm sure he was using it for leverage to beat you down on the final price.
Is there a chance that that was a factory hole that just has rust on it?
I am not sure since you mentioned it, I will take a closer look at it tomorrow. I priced the truck $4,400.00, it needs blasted frame, floor pans, rockers, cab corners and a driver door bottom. He said he could deal with everything except the hole in the frame. Oh well someone will want to buy it.

Him saying the value is gone is insulting. Sounds like he’s just using it to try and get a steal of a deal. A hole that small is nothing to worry about. And if welded up properly and ground smooth it would disappear and nobody would know the difference. My 2 cents anyway.
I know what you are saying, that is why I came here to see what you experienced guys said. I am in no way an experienced auto restorer, but I was shook up when he said the value was gone.

Is this the truck with 2 beds and spare parts? If so you may be too cheap already.
I priced the truck $4,400 and with the extra fleet side bed , 2 doors and 2 fenders at $5,800.00. One guy said the fleet side bed is a dime a dozen and I said find me them and I will believe it.

There are so many bottom feeders out there who want to steal stuff. I listed one of my 59 Apaches and had all kinds of guys trying to beat me down, most of them flippers. I stood my ground and a guy paid me full price and was so happy to get it. It just takes a little time to find a good buyer sometimes.

I'd be a serious buyer if I didn't have to much on my plate already.
Someone will pay your price, it's a very desirable truck, you just have to weed out the tire kickers.

A local guy stood up and bought everything today, he said he was going to put it in his garage and start work on it soon. You guys here are the best for sure, all the help you give for free is appreciated.
