Help with striping and clear coat process

I am planning on painting some rally type stripes over the top of my car.
SPI Epoxy was used over bare metal.
SPI 2K Regular build primer over the epoxy
Shouldn't have to spray an epoxy seal coat if using the 2k reg build (according to info sheet) just sand 2k reg with 400 grit
Planning on using PPG JBP base for both the white stripe color (non metallic) and blue body color (metallic)
Planning on using SPI universal clear for the topcoat
Wanted to paint all the parts off the car so that I can get to all door jamb, under hood, under trunk, trunk jamb, and cowl areas easily

I've read recommendations to spray the stripe color (white) on first, then layout and mask the stripe area I want to keep, then sand the white overspray where the blue color will go, then spray the blue
But I wanted to layout and mask the stripes before spraying the white so that I don't spend 3-4hrs doing it after the paint is already on the car ( I am concerned about getting everything done in the 24 hr window for clear coating -I've read where it can take 3-4 hrs to layout and mask the stripes (after the paint is already on the car) but I didn't believe it until I tried recently. Now I believe.) I'm afraid if I have to make any repairs whatsoever in either the white or blue, I may be rushed to get the clear on within the 24hr window.
So I thought about laying out and masking the stripes, removing the parts from the car. Painting the white stripes. Possibly one coat of clear to protect the stripes somewhat for when I come back and cover them with masking tape.
Cover/Mask off white stripes
Hang all body parts oriented as if they were on the car (due to the metallic base coat)
Paint blue body color
Scuff or wetsand the clear on the white stripes
Then clear entire car

Just wondering if clearing the entire car will blend well with the masking line left where I unmasked the clear over the stripes?
