Why do you feel that removing the regulator is better than just leaving it on the gun and wide open?I use a gauge at the gun set to full open (max pressure). Then I pull the trigger and set the desired PSI using the wall regulator. Once set, I remove the gauge at the gun. To save time I write down the wall regulator pressure for each gun at the required PSI.
All of them are in the 60 to 70 psi range at the wall regulator to get the PSI at the gun(s) I am looking for.
That is using a 3/8" hose 50' long with high flow fittings.
It prevents me from accidentally changing the PSI by bumping the knob while changing my hand position on the handle. Why do you feel that removing the regulator is better than just leaving it on the gun and wide open?
