Well, I just purchased the LPH440! I figured by the time I'm ready for poly I should have enough saved up to purchase another needle, and when it comes time for base/sealer I should have enough for the LPH400.
Thanks to everyone who helped me out with this thread. I called SPI just to make sure on the 1.8 tip. He said that the 1.8 would be better for covering bare metal since you want a good, solid coat. Since this is primarily what I will be doing with it, I ordered it with the 1.8 tip. Now I just need to get a few parts ready for primer....
