Great day for sandblasting

Temperatures hit the mid 50's today in central Wisconsin. Great day to get rolling on a long term project since I'm waiting on approvals and parts on the collision work.

Front end stripped and blasted. California car thats been in the Midwest for a few years now. Can anyone guess the make and model?

Close. 57 Desoto Firesweep. Low production numbers compared to chevrolet and ford of the same year.

Kind of an oddball and according to the owner tough to find parts for as well. Thankfully it doesn't need much metal replaced.

The dog took off running once I started blasting this afternoon. He stayed on the deck and watched from a distance though

Wow, I had to look this one up.
Hemmings has a great article on them and even carries an Ad for a '59 Firesweep that's for sale.

For some reason I can't post the link here?
