Galsurit Waterborne

Ok, just trying to clarify something here. I am under the assumption that with true waterborne, you dont need a mixing bank with agitation. I know ppg and sikkens are like this (no agitation) and they warn you about shaking or anything of the nature of the tints before mixing.

Now....never have used any waterborne...but i'm also under the assumption that with glasurit you need a mixing bank with agitation.

Anyone clarify this? Is it a true waterborne if it needs agitation? Does it even matter? Like said before..never used any of it i've just been approached with some conflicting information and would like to know.

Thanks!

I checked out a Corvair Monza Convertible my Son sprayed Saturday with Envirobase, it was a heavy coarse metalic bronze color and the metalic distribution/orientation was absolutely perfect. He would have struggled with this color in Global or DBC. He really likes waterborne.

Talked to a basf rep last week and figured it out. Reason why the toners require mixing, is becuase the water is added in separate. Kind of like adding in your binder/connecter to your solvent in some of the higher end bases. The water is kept on the bottom of the mixing bank.
