First time patching, Do I need to weld up these pin holes?

This is my first time doing metal work. I recently purchased a Hobart 210 MVP and have been using Youtube videos to learn how to weld. I filled in the hole where my in cab fuel tank came through the side of my 68 C10. After I sanded down my spot welds I noticed there are still some tiny pits. I don't see any light coming through the back side of the panel. Do I need to spot weld the little pits or is it ready for epoxy & skim coat? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!

I always weld mine up and as frustrating as it is I’ll turn off the garage lights and use a light behind the panels to identify those spots that you can’t see on the surface. Seems like I always have pinholes that get covered over by super thin metal flakes during the grinding/sanding.

I would recommend welding them up, better to seal up the hole than have to worry about moisture seeping through and causing a problem later.
You also want to make sure you don't over grind and make the panel itself thin so take your time in the process trying to just grind the weld as much as possible.
