Final Scuff/Sand Before Sealer

I sealed the Mustang late last year before it got cold here in South Dakota. After assembling and aligning the body, wiring the car and installing the engine/trans, I am now ready to prep for paint. I am going to wet sand with 400 using guide coat in case I missed anything or something got scratched during the assembly process. What is the longest you would wait (or does it not matter) between the 400 wet sand and shooting the sealer?

The reason I ask is I want to start prepping it this week but we have an event at work this weekend and I need to re-do and clean my home booth before shes ready. If I start 400 grit wet sanding this week will I need to do anything different in 2-3 weeks other than cleaning/wax and grease remover to spray sealer?

Also what is the best reduction set up for sealer? I shot it in sealer last year and I had it reduced it down to 50 % and I ended up with some runs. Other times I have shot SPI Epoxy I usually reduce about 10% and I end up with a little tiny bit of orange peel. Shot the sealer last year with a LPH400 and a silver/clear tip. I also have the orange tip for base if that would work better-

Thanks guys!

Waiting 3 weeks between sanding and spraying just would not work for me. Too many chances of contamination getting into the surface. But if that ended up being the case, I would very vigorously scrub every inch with a scotchbrite and either Dawn or prep paste before spraying. Which essentially makes more work, but if you have to do it, that might be the way to go. As for epoxy sealer, I like 25-30% reduction. Also, if you are spraying metallic, you might want to use 600. Once in a while a 400 scratch might not fill with sealer and you'll see it in the metallic.

Thanks for the heads up I am spraying it a 2008 Shelby Torch/Colorado Red (no metallic) so I was going to stick with 400.
I think ill just wait to wet-sand and clean right before I seal it.
