Filler - exothermic reaction - wow!

Just amazes me how hot mixed filler gets. Cool chemistry magic.
I have a persistent fear of not putting in enough hardener and having an gooey mess that never cures.
So I mix it a little hot and obsess on mixing it.
Leaves little time to spread, but I've never had a cold batch that didn't harden. Wasted quite a bit though . . . kicked before I could spread it.
Anyway, filler is amazing stuff, used judiciously.

if you ever need more working time with your filler or your doing a large area get the evercoat quantum with the slow hardener. its really slow and will give you plenty of time to do something like a whole roof in one shot. just dont plan on sanding it for a long time. its been awhile but i remember having like 20-30 min of working time with it.

When I have a large area to skim coat like a roof, I'll mix and spread when the temps are 65 degrees. During the summer I've gotten up at 3:00am to mix and spread filler when it was 65 degrees. It gives me a working window of 10 to 15 minutes.
