Epoxy window without sanding

T

Tiggie

Got two coats of epoxy on Monday evening. Going to seam seal tonight, and a little bit of filler and want to put one more epoxy coat over it.
1.) Do I need to scuff before filler (48 hours after spraying)
2.) Do I need to scuff before epoxy recoat if I wait until Saturday (five days)?
It's hot in the garage - around 70 at night/90 in the day.

I'll add that I can feel a difference in places. Some are a hint soft (fingernail will scuff), others are rock hard (fingernail makes no difference).

Update
I worked until 2:15AM last night getting the seal sealer and filler work done (I did lightly scuff the epoxy before filler).
Can I recoat the epoxy without sanding this evening (72 hours after last coat)? The harder epoxy sections scare me but I really don't want to scuff unless I have to.

Tech sheet says 7 day window without scuffing. And 24-48 hours preferably before filler.

Did you get at least 24 hours of consistent and even temp 70 degrees or above?

Temps probably averaging 80ish over the last 72 hrs. Not below 70 and as high as 101 according to my thermometer.

I am a first time epoxy user and read the tech sheet. I am just concerned it's curing faster than expected due to the temps. Hopefully I am unnecessarily worried!

I really don't want to scuff this undercarriage again.

Thanks for that reassurance! I got to thinking about it, and figured I was okay. I am just used to old school stuff and painting something shiny after five days of drying screams no!

Final coat going on tomorrow.
