I stopped by my local PPG vendor the other day. As I walk in the door the first thing I notice is the POR 15 display on my left. :mad:
I never asked what is that shit all about, because I already know, $$$.
I have dealt with him for 20+ years and in the past he has never lead me wrong with advice.
He is only a hired gun and not the owner so its not his fault the shelves are stocked with this crap.




I assume that he gets new customers coming in and asking for the product as they read on the interweb that it is the greatest stuff ever for their 1948 whozitmobile.

I came home and called Chad for some ProSpray, I couldn't even buy a test pint of Concept from them. I just visited for a couple minutes and left. :(
 
Profit margins?
A few years ago, it wasn't on display at the jobbers in town here either. It is now, right as you walk in. On the other hand, none of the jobbers have tried to push it AFAIK.
 
I have seen it in two of the three vendors here.
It's got name recognition & to many hobbyists (don't know any better) asking for it.
 
Yeah, I see it being used a lot on another forum that I am on. I keep trying to get them to convert to SPI Epoxy Primer though.
