Differences between 3M Stikit red, gold, and blue paper?

Can someone explain what the differences are between the red, gold, and blue 3M Stikit sandpaper lines? I've seen mentions of both blue and gold here, but not the red, and it isn't clear which line/color I should be buying. Any tips would be appreciated, thanks!
 
It's the quality of the abrasive, adhesive, and paper, there are different levels. Red is the cheap stuff, to be avoided. We use some of the blue in DA when I can find it for the right price, it seems good to me. I don't know about gold, I used to use it and it worked fine, but for all of the stuff I used to used gold for, I switched to Norton A275 like this because I like how it cuts:

It's not cheap, though.

Norton A275 is really good stuff
 
for roll psa paper i do like the 3m blue. its supposed to be a mix of AO and ceramic. its reasonably priced as well. gold is always good also. that is all AO. red is AO but has less grit on it and is really economy but they do put less on a roll so its cheaper but not as much as it appears to be. sunmight is great stuff. i am not crazy about the green for the roll psa paper though as its on a plastic film backing and you need to cut each piece off the roll. the gold is paper backed like all the 3m ones and you just tear it off. for discs the best discs i have found without paying out the a$$ for 3m cubitron are the sunmight purple ceramic. priced like 3m gold but last 5 times as long. great stuff. norton a275 is good as well. used that for years. equivalent to 3m gold at a slight cost savings
