dents in motorcycle tank

SOF, thanks for the tip on the straps-maybe I'll try the air pressure again some day. Maybe a port-o-power pump would also work with an adapter fitting? Glue pulls are also an excellent idea!
 
Bob, if you want more pressure than your compressor can put out, use water and hook it up to a pressure washer. Have a regular hydroforming process ...
 
You cant repair that with compressed air. It will require a dent puller. I would repair that using a puller, get the dents out as much as possible and use filler for the resulting imperfections where it was spot welded to the rods and smooth it out. leaving a perfectly good looking tank with no evidence of damage. it will need to be painted regardless of the method use to repair it.
