Contamination or solvent pop?

I just had a thought, what about an air tank inside the booth? With the 3/8" line feeding it and high flow fittings on the output, pressure will drop in it while spraying, but maybe it will drop slowly enough to be able to feed the proper CFM to the gun, especially on smaller jobs. Like a kind of surge tank...?

Hmm that might be a good idea. But I’m also half in a food coma. It seems you’d be drawing off the tank which would almost eliminate the small air line issue until the tank has to refill. Use high flow fittings etc coming off the tank. It definitely couldn’t hurt especially if you had a big enough tank.

Yesterday( at 6 am before family woke up) brought my home compressor 80gal and added line right in front of booth. Finished painting by 11 am. Didn't change anything else. Today after drying.

That looks fantastic!

I have to admire someone who won't give up until the task at hand is done to their satisfaction. Which in this case is Professional quality.

Well done :)

Beside a few nibs and dirts, one of my best painting experience
Like I said above you have gotten a lot better. Looks great. Putting your compressor in the Shop at work and running your own line is the best decision you could make. I don't know how you did it with those tiny 3/8" air lines to start with. Keep up the good fight my friend.
