No I am wet sanding all the way up to the 1500/2000 step. then that is done dry with the DA then back to wet with 3000-5000. Seems I get a more consistent scratch with the DA at the finer grits.
I'm so picky when it comes down to the final finish...it is hard to please myself most times.
The powder stays on there fore the most part. Once you put it on, rinse it real well to get the excess off. Once you have sanded the area once and removed all guide coat, go back over it one more time. It will wash out some, but if you go right back over it you know that it is good.
