Ok, so after we spray my dads car, we may or may not have to sand/buff, depending on the amount of trash in the paint. In case we do, what is some advice from you folks on buffing, perhaps the do's and don'ts. I buffed a car a few years back and when it was in the shop it looked like you could reach right into the paint. I was so excited and then we back it out and looked like someone had taken some 1500 and put swirl marks in it. I just threw my hands up and kind of chuckled (what else can you do at this point). We ended up re-clearing the car and said forget the buffing part, LOL!! My guess is I was using too much compound and polish and was going too fast.
I just want to say thank you for everyone's help so far on this site. The people here seem to be nice and very willing to help. Please excuse my level of ignorance on this as I am trying to learn as much as I can.
