Block sanding epoxy

Is it ok to respray epoxy on a 220 sanded surface ? I have guide coated and blocked my car once already and feel it is fairly straight. I sprayed SPI epoxy for another round of blocking and started off with 220 instead of 180. I'm hoping the 3rd round I can get to 400 quick and then spray sealer and then color- thats the plan anyway, hehe. Am I going to cause problems by skipping 180 ?

Thanks, John

The 220 shouldn't be a problem for the epoxy. However, IMO you say it's fairly straight, More epoxy and stay with coarser paper until you are confident it is right before you get out the 400. 400 wont straighten any it is for refining scratches.

Hi, yes the 400's not going to be used until all the shiney is sanded away. The 220 seems to be leveling good right now. I was going to spray a couple of coats of hi build but I really like working with the epoxy.

Thanks, John
