Black Epoxy question.

I know this topic has been discussed a million times. I want to use black epoxy on a rollcage in a car and on the engine bay. I just want someonthing super durable that will handle getting in and out. The cage is a 25.3 cert(so many damn bars) so a satin style finish will help me hide my mistakes and misses!

I also want to shoot the engine bay with it also. I just dont want it to come back and haunt me.

Also, if I co this route, i may reduce it a decent amount so it lays flat. 2 coats.....

input would be fantastic!!

It'll work, ok to reduce. The only areas of concern would be where there's sun exposure which might fade over time but I think Barry has upgraded the UV resistance some recently.

Epoxy is about as impervious to solvents once cured as you can get. If you want to test that, let it dry in your gun and after a week try to clean it out!

SPI epoxy is very durable once it reaches full cure and if the substrate was prepped properly. Even a sandblaster has a tough time removing it usually.
