Best color epoxy for initial body work ?

Just looking for opinions on what the best color of epoxy would be for doing the initial start of body work. Help with seeing/correcting for straightness, waves, using guide coat and so on. At the end I'll go with the correct color for my base coat. Thx

I always use black because it's easier to see things in the black..

Shine are you spraying a coat of black, and then grey to use it as a guide coat to know how much sanding you have done?

without a guidecoat black works best for seeing irregularities. When using a guidecoat I like a light color primer, for me it's easier to see a dark colored guidecoat on a light primer compared to a light colored guidecoat on a dark primer.

black to find problems . after filler another good coat of black then switch to gray . with gray you need no guide coat . epoxy block.jpg

You can get a consensus on a lot of these procedures, but some are just a matter of opinion.

I wanted red on the inside of the panels so I started with red on the outside of this 1/4 panel, then put white on that for blocking.

This door has white, then black for blocking.

I'm sure you can guess which way I chose to use, it sure is good to be done with the guide coat, and the white under the black will let you know that you have blocked enough without going too far. I did block this some more, but don't have another picture
