Any Devilbiss StartingLine owners out there?

Cool, that's exactly the one I was looking at. Nice to hear from a real person that they didn't get a knockoff. I also like that it ships directly from Amazon. Should be here Thursday. I'd like to live off the grid but I love 2 day prime shipping! :)

I understand how you feel being apprehensive about buying such an expensive item sight unseen. I had the exact same feeling and asked the exact same question here about identifying a knock off Iwata lph. I figured using Amazon was the safest bet in case I did get a knock off. At least I would be able to return it with zero hassle.

Enjoy the spray gun. Soon you'll be laying down paint like Don ;)

My precious... :)

Looks very similar to the deal you go although the Amazon description didn't read that way. So now I have DeKup and 3M PPS.

Going to pick up 5 gallon of the Martin Senour Econ Virgin Wash in the AM, clean it up and maybe put a little epoxy through it this weekend.

Hey congratulations!!!

That's a very good spraygun. Take care of her and she'll take care of you :)

Looking forward to seeing pictures of your spray outs

Thanks for sharing.

Back to my original issue with the starting lines, I played hooky from work yesterday and did some blasting. Got it back in the shop last night and decided to spend some time playing with the SLG and epoxy before sealing it up.

As several folks suggested, I turned the pressure at the gun up to 35 and backed the fluid way out as a starting point. Low and behold, sprayed a pretty big pattern (measured at about 10" wide). It seemed to bounce back pretty bad so I took the pressure back down to 30 and could still get a decent pattern. Feel pretty foolish in retrospect, I think a fear of getting runs just kept me from wanting to crank fluid up that far. Live and learn.

Since I was spraying rocker panels I had to dial the fan back but the epoxy went on better than I remember in quite a while.

Dekup adapter shows up today for the LPH, anxious to give it test run.

Thanks to everyone for your help! As someone just starting out, I really appreciate the time that professionals and seasoned hobbyists put into contributing to this site. Hands down the best resource on the internet.
