Airbrush and UC

Following. I've had great success with base and reduced epoxy with an airbrush.
But never could get UC to lay down with it.
50% wow! Curious to hear from the pros.

Honestly I’ve never reduced it - lays out good and atomized good - I would worry about reducing too much since it’s spraying such a small amount- I give it 4-5 good coats then mist some clear coat blender on it - done a lot of repairs that way- maybe it works for me cause I crank the pressure up ?

i do reduce it but not very much. maybe 10-20%. i dont really measure. i just put a little squirt in there and its good. speed clear is the same. just a little is all thats needed. like on a spray gun, tip size of the brush will make a difference. mine is a .035. over reducing clear doesnt hurt anything as long as you put enough on to give your base uv protection. of course it may not end up looking super wet and glossy but it doesnt hurt the clear in any way. i sprayed reduced and accelerated uv clear today. reduced it 150%, added a little color to it to tone it a bit. sprayed 3 coats then topped with 2 unreduced coats

This is in door jambs so UV is not an issue. Thanks Jim
