65 Mustang 289 , 4 spd project - need panels....

HI guys, I finally took possession of the 65 coupe my neighbor gave me - free - price was right!! I chased original owner and acquired title so now its worth doing something with. Kind of poking around and checking it for rust repairs. Need patches in a variety of places and I dont want to go crazy (not like Rusty's excellent work - would like that but dont think this cars worth it especially since nobodys paying me to do it :) ) as in a complete strip down but will clean, blast, sand cut weld as needed and make a decent driver of it. Its got a little ft end damage on the right corner. Interior is decent and mostly usable and car is probaly 90-95% complete, very few missing parts which is good.

Who has the best aftermarket panels , I looked at Rockauto and they sell Goodmark and Sherman and "various" - I like that manufacturer.... Any recommendations as to whose fit the best or am I better off repairing the originals. Just looking for some feedback on who uses what and what their experiences are.

Thanks a lot and I'll post up some pic's - oh yeah - I had it running in a few hours after it'd been sitting for the last 15+ years, actually runs pretty damn good.

Well there are a lot of them out there.. I have used 3-4 but tend to come back to CJ Pony good prices free shipping. Call and talk to one of the guys tell them which way you wanna go as far as quality. You get part fast..

I personally like to go through NPD. Especially for sheet metal. Pretty much everyone sells the same manufacturers but their site will often have notes dictating which ones have the best fit. I know these cars pretty darn well and there are a few pieces that I don't think anyone does a good job of reproducing frankly. What parts do you need?
