600 Wet sanding sealer and question about basebase

I had a hard time getting my sealer to lay down flat this morning. I don't spray very often and its been about a year since I sprayed sealer or base. I'm shooting with a LPH400 with orange cap. Anyway I ended up with some orange peel in my sealer and I'm going to wet sand it out in the morning. I let the fenders sit in the sun for about 3 hours after they were dry to the touch. What's the earliest I should try to wet sand? I want to do it tonight, so I can get rolling on base/ clear in the am.

I'm a little worried about how ill be laying down my base now. I really don't want to end up with orange peel in the base.
Also does the sealer (epoxy reduced 25%) always dry a little bit grainey? No matter how I spray it it drys with a slight texture

Try a bit higher pressure and choking the fluid needle a bit?

The reduction ratio to me seems a bit on the low side, when I reduce epoxy as a sealer I'm around 40% and spray the iwata lph400 orange cap around 20-22 psi and 5-6" from the panel.

I started out at 15% reducer, then bumped it to 25% and things did get smoother. I'll have to try 35-40%.

In my head I always think I am to close to the panel, I was working on keeping a 7" distance and that could be my problem...From a few things I've read tonight this gun likes to be closer in the 5-6" range. Maybe that is why I'm getting a little "fine/grainy" texture after it flashes

it will lay slick when you mix 1:1:1. its very thin at that point and doesnt usually cover but for adhesion purposes that is just fine. you can do 2 coats if necessary. just remember that epoxy doesnt like to be hammered on thick. i dont ever do epoxy as a sealer with the expectation of getting a 100% solid color base. spray it like an adhesion promoter. very thin. if i need something thicker then i use a regular 2k sealer.

I laid it on pretty thick. I was following the Perfect paint job and noticed it said spray one wet coat over the entire vehicle. I've always had issues with orange peel and waneed it to flow out this time. I move fast naturally so I focused on slowing down. Which put me in the same position.

I'm going to try 1:1:1 next

On the advise of these gentleman I always do it 1:1:1 and spray it like your first coat of base.
