Here are some pictures of my last project. This is my daily driver. It had 140,000 miles worth of dings, some pretty bad hail damage from a tornado back in 2010, and the typical rust damage around the rear wheels.

After I fixed the rust inside the wheel wells, I used SPI epoxy and Bedliner to protect my repairs. I did all the heavy blocking with SPI epoxy. I used one coat of SPI Turbo and an over reduced coat of grey epoxy as guide coat for my final blocking. The paint is 3 coats of Prospray Clover Green Metallic and 3 coats of Universal Clear.

The wheels are pretty bad looking now. I was thinking of just blasting them and shooting them with black epoxy. My wife says that black wheels will look too ghetto???

It looks pretty nice now, congrats.

I'd paint the wheels silver and clearcoat them. It's not that much more work. You have the epoxy(?) you just need a pint of silver and hopefully some leftover clear.

Silver on the wheels is a great idea! I have plenty of SPI products around here, all I would have to get is some silver. Do you have a particular paint code in mind that would look good on wheels? I'll probably get Prospray from Chad S.

Stop at a paint store and look through the chip books at wheel colors-there's lots of good colors there. Or.....if you see some oem wheels with a color you like just note what make and year to narrow down your search.
