. . . The front springs are a pain to install. Mustangs and Fairlanes are so much easier

Hush now, the last time I mentioned something about the inferior workmanship and parts associated with GM cars it caused quite a fuss - even though I personally like the early 60s Novas and the GTOs and the Chevelles, etc. :)

By the way, I love seeing the progress pictures as I have never built or installed a roll cage, tubbed, channeled or chopped anything and getting a chance to see the transformation and workmanship is much appreciated.

Waiting for the rear shackles and u bolts than we will give it to the customer to install the drivetrain.

The owner had the Nova about a year getting it running than brought it back for us to finish the bodywork. He has decided to leave the body flat black. This will be a test since it is now sprayed with SPI epoxy.

This is how it looked after he brought it back. The body still needed to be blocked out.

While he had the car everybody liked the red and black so he wanted the hood and deck lid painted SPI Viper Red.

Rusty, why the 2 coats of turbo primer first ?

It was epoxy primed over a year ago and than I block it and sprayed the Turbo to fill is some of the imperfections. After it was block sanded again it was epoxy primed.

Just when we thought we were finished with rust repair I found the cowl and it had a rust hole that Brian cut out and patched.

We finished this awhile ago but I forgot to post pictures. This is not how I would have done it but that is what the customer wanted.

I understand that some people like the flat black but next to the Viper Red, it looks un finished. I would have loved to see the whole car Viper Red but you have to do what they ask. Nice work you guys!
