I was following the "Perfect Paint" and using SPI Epoxy (with a double shot of reducer) as a sealer over sanded 2K primer. Using white epoxy as a base for SPI Orange. Ended up with 2 coats to get the white even (was also covering some black epoxy in some areas).
The roof has some moltening that I've previously seen from too heavy of a first coat of epoxy, but I know my first coat was light this time.
Not sure what caused the issue. I waited 1 hour after cleaning with SPI W&G remover before spraying the epoxy.
How soon can I wet sand to get rid of the moltening? will 14 hours be sufficient?
Do I have to recoat with epoxy if I don't penetrate down to the 2K primer (gray).
The roof is the only area with an issue the rest of the car looks great.
I'd rather not have 3 coats of sealer under my orange.
Photos are before I shot epoxy as a sealer. No photos of issue.
