Cleaned the stickers off the tail panel:
Used a 1/2" sharpened chisel to get the majority off, then a torch with Map Gas to warn the remaining adhesive which then came off with a single edged razor blade.
Applied the first coat of black to the inside of the letters.
Used this to apply the paint:

A long and tedious job masking this off. Still waiting for the paint to arrive.

Got the rear axle and front suspension installed. Still need shocks all around and to put the sway bar in.

Rolled it outside today so I could rearrange some things in the garage.
Wheels and tires came with the car. Surprised they still hold air.

Got the Dark Argent Silver paint today so sprayed the tail panel and installed the GTX emblem.
Looking at purchasing a decal kit from these guys: https://www.ebay.com/itm/110997189480
It included the side sport stripes and the reflective decals for the tail panel and lights.
My car original came with blue sports stripes, which is rare, but I am not sure if I'm going with them or white?

I can see white stripes on a blue GTX anywhere. If it came blue on blue, I’d leave it.

The guy selling the kit called it Peacock Blue and said it was very rare and that I should go with it if it came that way from the factory.
