We have a lot of changes coming hopefully all for the better. We intend to have the BEST forum out there. It is going to take me until the first of the year to implement all these changes. If you have an idea post it here or PM me and I will take it into serious consideration. I'm still learning the new software and its limits. The thing I like about this software is there are trying just as hard as we are to be the best of the best. Read thru the post here I don't want to read 100 people saying the same thing lol I have so much work to do already. But we are very open to suggestions.

I am sure you have alot of options, not saying I am crazy about the gray background. Its easy on the eyes, but contrast to black and the lighter colors of the buttons in this post reply box before you click in it is hard to see. I think the darker backgrounds also take longer to load.

The forum will be a closer match to the main site in the near future.

How does it look now?

Make it easier to post photos. Some forums allow direct upload from your computer.
I hate Photobucket, takes forever with all the ads and only use it as a last resort.

Is there a way to edit our posts once we committ them? There used to be a little "edit post" we could click on and it would let us edit or delete our posts, I dont see that here.

Thats better for me, I can definitely see it better. I know alot of guys use their smart phones so I dont know what is better for them, faster loading is probably best for everyone. But I work in a pretty dark shop all day so contrast is a bit tough sometimes, especially if you just got blinded by some sunlight..

can you edit now?

No I can not edit the post (Mechanical vs chemical Bond). Its also really hard for me find it. I go to "new posts" and its not there. Also, I have checked all my personal settings for email notification and as in the previous site, I still do not get an email notification when someone responds to my post.

yes its funny i still do not get email alerts either. the "New posts" thing is odd as well. it on the last forum it was the same deal. it would only show new posts if you didnt post in the thread or were subscribed to it. if you reply in a thread it doesnt come up in the new posts search. this is really odd behavior for a forum. never seen one operate that way. i have not tried this on this new forum. just saw that it didnt work for outlaw so i figured i would bring it up.

yes confirmed. as soon as i posted that above i went and clicked on new posts and this thread disappeared from the list. also checked outlaws other comment. i cant edit my posts either or i would have just added this info above.

Same as Jim C, after making a post, I go to new posts and my post is not there.

Yea the new post thing is weird. But I just tried posting in a few threads & no weird problems with typing I had before. Uplinked a few pics direct from my computer, works great now.

Edit feature worked for me.

Haven't seen where to do a pm, which is a really cool thing for a bunch of guys wanting to talk shop on paint & bodywork..

Just to mention, would be helpful particularly to the amateur crowd if we could eventually have a sticky guide on sandpaper grits needed for various applications. I've seen more than once someone read use 80 grit (bare metal in perfect paint guide) & someone sands their old paint in 80 grit before epoxy.

NOTE::: edit time limit is 5 minutes.
Think fast.....

If you want to find something you posted on recently, go to your profile page & you can find em that way.

I have only posted once since the update. I went to the "new posts" tab and it was not there. I closed out of the forum and re-entered and my post was in the "new posts"
Charlie D.

What am I missing here? I tried the photo thing and did not see where I could upload from my computer.
It was the same on the old forum, (for me anyway), had to put the photos on photo bucket, took too long. And I never could post photos as large as Rusty or Robert do for example.

There is no "edit" option on my screen. Where do I find it for my posts?

In the old site, when I wanted to add an image, I clicked on the image icon and it gave me options to browse my computer, find the photo I wanted and download it to the post. Now it only asks for a url number and I have to figure out where the photo might be and if it has a url number (dont know what that is)? Edit Test Working Now....On this post, I got the option to edit and it works.

its a pretty big difference with new posts and active topics. Active would keep the thread you just added to back on the same page, just takes some getting used to. But I get the idea that if you post something, then want to go back and add to it, you need to find it in the section it was started.
