What should I do with this?

NextGen Classics

Floor sweeper
I restored this 1967 mustang back in 2002. I want to reshoot the same color as there are chips etc. Back then I used Sherwin Williams paint products and don't recall what fillers. The car still looks good with minimal shrinkage. So would you strip it again or just block it and epoxy etc.? Not a trailer queen but a nice S code driver for the wife and eventually daughter. Here are a couple pics in it's current state. Thanks

Another question related to this,do fillers/primers give up or let go after a while or if properly applied, last forever? Sorry probably a loaded question.

No or very unusual for the filler question.
I would block down with 320 or 400, one coat epoxy as sealer and paint.
Not my normal advice but you know the old paint and car since you own it

The Mustang is a fast back and looks like you have it already apart why not go for it and strip the car down and do it right. Just my 2 cents worth.

Yeah,I just blew it apart and took those pics yesterday. It held up well but has some shrinkage up at the roof lead seam where I used short strand back then.

I agree with Barry and Crash. To strip it down when not needed is adding Hours and Hours of work that really isn't necessary for a really nice driver. If it was done proper the first time you did it and there is no real issues now I'm sure you could expect to not have any on just a repaint.

I agree completely.
