IMO, either can look awesome when done correctly. Solid colors can be done with either, metallics BC/CC only. SS eliminates the weakest link, the base, making it slightly more durable. BC/CC is durable when enough clear is sprayed to protect the base. Base has no UV protection by itself. SS may be a little more forgivable in less than ideal conditions. Any trash, bugs, etc will show in the clear more than in SS. BC/CC, to me, is easier to repair because color does not have to be applied to the whole panel. It can be blended and the panel cleared.
