What Activator for an Overall

C

If I'm doing an overall BC/CC job in a home garage what activator should I use in UV clear? Temperature will be around 75 + degrees. I see on the pricing sheet it says to use 4103-4 Slow Activator for overalls up to 90 degrees. Also, Will 2 gallons sprayable be enough to do a 69 nova. I already purchased 1 quart and have the door / fender jambs, trunk etc painted so it will be just the outside body panels. Thanks.

75 deg i would use slow or very slow. i really like the very slow on overalls. 2 sprayable gallons should be be good

I've used the 925 retarder with 885 slow reducer on hot 80+ degree days for clear and was amazed how it flowed out the last two coats.
It made color sanding so much easier.
But, the downside is control and not laying it on too heavy. One quart of retarder will be more than enough. I used a small amount for my 67 Camaro.

75 deg I would use very slow and if over 85 I'd use very slow with retarder. I only stock Normal and very slow and cocktail to get what I want. Normal seems plenty fast for me so I don't use fast. I do have the benefit of good climate control in my both though.

I live in Arizona and only use slow activators and the 885 Slow reducer. On very hot days I will use the retarder in the last coat of clear but I don't use much.
