Using a Devilbiss FLG-4 to Spray Clear

Hi, everyone. I'm getting incrementally closer to spraying BC/CC and am trying to plan ahead. I have tried very hard to follow the SPI tech manual to the letter and, looking ahead, it calls out a 1.4mm spray tip for the Universal clear (saying "never 1.3mm" and "only 1.4mm" tips, which are strong words). Well, it doesn't appear that Devilbiss makes a 1.4mm tip for the FLG-4 gun (couldn't find one in their catalog), so I'm stuck with a 1.3mm or a 1.5mm (I have a 1.8mm, but I assume that's too large). Ignoring the "get a better gun discussion" for now (I'm open to that discussion if it's my only good option), are there alternatives for me with what I have and, if so, are there things that I would have to do in mixing / spraying / etc. to account for the different spray tip?

Some guns will not spray the clear with a 1.3, such as my sata 2000 RP BUT your gun does a great job with a 1.3 just like the LPH400 does.
So your fine, the 1.5 will also work with proper adjustments.
