Universal Clear

I have some Universal that's about 3-4yrs old from a project that I completed a few years back. Does clear coat lose it's strength or get old? I understand the activators can kick and get seedy and not work as well. If the hardener looks fine and sprays fine, is it still weaker than it was when new? How about the clear itself?

If any of activators have been opened may be bad need testing overnight anyway.
Clear will outlive you and me.

By the way spraying is not a test, if activator is totally dead the comments i get this was best job i ever painted but not dry today.
Not like the old enamel days with seeds.

So it sounds like the activator will either work or will not work? If I mix some in a mixing cup and it cures out, is it as strong as buying new hardener? Or does it not as strong because it's old?

Any advantage to buying new hardener, if the old hardener cures out? Does hardener lose strength over the years?

Its a pure guess as no way for you to know or test.
If opened, i would if not opened its fine
