Under Hood and Trunk

Mopar so it has the fully painted under hood with color. Would you mix the base and UC as I did on the underbody or would you do a full base coat with a UC as I will the rest of the car?

If it were my car and I was going for correctness, I'd shoot it the same as the outer body being that's how it was done at the factory (I think) to keep the gloss and depth the same. When you mixed the base with UC, did you first put one coat of base down when you shot the underbody?

I was sort of thinking the same thing and no I did not, just shot the base/UC over the primer.

I asked because I was wondering with the base mixed with the UC and then sprayed, did it provide coverage without having a sort of transparent dept to it? I figured with one or two coats of base applied first, you would have good color coverage before switching to clear.

Yes that is the plan, hang the hood and trunk and have the doors off.
