the spi vette was judged 1st in custom class at the lonestar corvette show and "best of show" at the cowtown corvettes show . steve is having a ball. hope this pic will work for you barry .

well the vette is back for repairs. steve hit the inner fender of his enclosed trailer first time he loaded it. while getting it ready i figured i better find out what kind of wax i was dealing with. some of that stuff dont come off without a lot of work. called him and he has not waxed it since he picked it up. i used mothers canuba wax on it after buffing. since it's been almost a year i can say that there has been no die back or haze. has to be pretty good clear to win best of show with no wax .

speaking of wax what are you using ?

i saw the 56 big window the other day. done entirely in matrix from epoxy to clear. was buffed 3 times before it left. it is dull and hazy. died back , shrunk and generally looks like crap . and i know it would be like buffing concrete to buff again .56 done.jpg

glad i aint the only one who had those problems with matrix! you know its our fault right?...atleast thats the impression i got from them...especially when they lost my 4in x 4in paint square i peeled of the trunk for them to "analyze"
 
I never had the die back issue with Matrix clear. Brittle yes, but it never died on me.. I did use the 2k primer in a pinch one time and had shrinkage with it but that was all..
 
well the spi vette won 1st place at the all chevy/corvette show in houston this weekend. got 95 out of 100 points.

That is one awesome looking car! What kind of farming do you do? A good portion of the SPI products I buy goes onto tractors.
