The dreaded bubble

I'm doing final cut and polish on a 53 truck. Acres of real estate on these trucks. I have a bubble on the cowl area that appears when the panel is in the sun. Its a little smaller than the diameter of a dime. Is there any hope it will eventually go away after being left out int he sun for a period of time, or will I have to sand down to bare metal and repaint from there?

no hole, minimal rage filler skimmed over the area.
If the hole was 1" farther back it would be under the side view mirror bracket.

I feel for ya. Terrible location. Clear or base what layer lifted? Not that i'd have a clue for easy fix.
if it was clear and my own vehicle, i'd inject it with 1ml insulin syringe till full & block in a couple days.

This happened to me on my Coronet R/T. I was buffing the roof and a blister would appear and then go away. Ended up cutting the blister open and the paint chipped off all the way to the dreaded 3M metal prep the local jobber told me to use. With Barry's guidance I removed all the loose paint and got the metal prep off there, shot some epoxy and then went through the whole process of repairing and repainting.

I had the cab in the sun on Sunday and the bubble looked a little smaller, but it wasn't as hot out as Friday. I had some optimism, but it has rained everyday since, so haven't been able to bake it in the sun. I'm pretty sure its lifting under the base, just not sure if its down to bare metal or not. Stay tuned.

well you will likely have to repair it so i would do the needle prick on it . 50/50 chance the solvent will escape and bubble will be gone .

I bit the bullet and cut the bubble out. Separation between the very thin coat of filler and the first coat of epoxy. Scrapped it all out to bare metal, then epoxy and built up from there. Shot the clear yesterday, so waiting to cure, then cut and buff and move on.
