I am considering buying a LS400 Entech Supernova strictly for basecoat/pearl metallics. I am using a ****$***** Pearl metallic, It is not a tri-stage. Not being the most experienced painter, I am looking for whatever advantage it gives me over my other guns.
They make HVLP w/ a Green cap and a conventional with a Coarse Gold cap. When researching, I see both being sprayed at similar air pressures. So is it basically a wash as to what gun to buy?
My main concern is to be able to spray the base without mottling. After painting / practicing on all my inside / underneath panels, it's still a challenging color to lay just right. I am looking at every angle from air pressure, reducer, speed, distance, etc. Perhaps I am overthinking it.
