Stripes

What is the correct application sequence for stripes? Using all SPI products from Epoxy, high build, Orange Base, Black Base (stripes) and Universal Clear. I saw one thread where the stripes were added on top of the first base coat with 2 clears then added stripes and 2 more clear coats. I was thinking Orange base then Black stripe base then UC.

You can if it works out best for you to do all stripping over the base and normally it takes 3 coats of clear to bury the edges, so you can sand and buff or sand and re-clear.

Hey don't want to hijack your thread but it about stripes too. I you activate the base with clear activator will this eliminate the problem with the edges lifting if i sand into the base when feathering. I cant do all the work in one day so im going to clear the base sand the edges and scuff it so i can paint another base color up to it then clear it all in the end. i have been told if i get down into the base i may have problems.. I have been using activator in all the base so far. Thanks. Dave
