spraying over old primer

hey,
this is my first post with a question. i sprayed omni mp 170 on bare metal a few years back and has been stored inside since. question is do i need to remove the omni before spraying spi epoxy primer? or can i scuff the omni and spray spi without problems? its a 48 f1 and the entire truck was sprayed a few years back. thanks for any help. the truck was disassembled and sandblasted about 8 years ago. light sanding after the sandblast and then sprayed it. i edited this because i really would like some opinions on this.

How was the metal prepped prior to the Omni ?

thanks for the quick reply. so i disassembled the truck and sandblasted each part separately. then blew/vacuumed everything. sanded surface and blew off. did not washed with anything. sprayed everything and reassembled. at that point i retired from 40 hr. job to open a machine shop so i could work 60 hrs. or more for about 8 years and the truck sat in my shop untouched. so i'm ready to pick this back up and finish it. thats where i'm at now.
