Spraying Base/Clear over previous SS job

I sprayed the engine bay Oct 2016, with a single stage metallic and wasn't thrilled with the way it came out. Since then I have stripped the entire car, applied and sprayed 2 coats of Turbo 2k.

I want to redo the engine bay in base clear along with the rest of the car. What is the best way to prep the single stage for base? The color will be Plum Crazy Pearl vs the Plum Crazy Metallic that is there now.
