Spot blaster media

I have a Harbor Freight spot blaster just for really small spots. What media would you suggest for cleaning pits, rust pits, not mine.

Thanks!

I bought this one that @dhutton01 recommended. I haven't used it yet but maybe he'll chime in and tell you what he thinks of it.

Zendex. I have one and it works fine on small areas. I use the coal slag in the red stripe bag from tractor supply. Don’t get the black stripe bag as it is to course to feed the Zendex or the Harbor freight knockoff.

I own the Zendex as well, have used it sparingly over the years. I've been very satisfied with it. Like @MKH, I first attempted the black coal slag from tractor supply and was defeated out of the gate. I then switched to the Red (finer slag) and found decent results. I have not run other types of media through it (yet). Hope this helps.

I found this at tptools.com just now, looks like an attachment that can be used with it (Zandex), check it out!

Are any of the “spot blasters” or a smaller sand blaster worth a darn?
Sure. I've had my cheapo HF $9.99 spot blaster for 12 years. It's a metal suction tube that shoots sand, there's not a lot too them.

I have their cabinet that I made modifications too and it works very well.

I have the TP tools one, and I can't get it to work. What could I possibly be missing with such a simple device. I filled it with media, hold against the work, pull the trigger, open the media valve, hear the sound, but nothing get's blasted?

Take the canister off and make sure the port is fully drilled out. I drilled that hole and the one on the valve a step larger.
