We are going to be changing the front nose and getting rid of the large spoiler

We will also modify the rear bumper to get a better fit and paint body color.

That will be a nice improvement. Will the front bumper be getting painted also? Looks like the paint held up very well, nice car.

Good call on ditching the double chin. That thing is fugly.

This is the first test fit of the customer supplied Stangaholics front apron. I had to do a lot of fiberglass grinding to clear the electric fan. It still needs to go down on the right side and up on the drivers side.

That is definitely going to change the looks of the car. I think it will be an improvement when done.

To get the front end to line up better Brian had to adjust the fenders.

I had to add a little filler to match the fenders

Epoxy primed

Brian cut the ends off the bumper and lined up the center

Since the bumper was narrow we had an old bumper that he cut out a section and welded to the back

Reshaping the end

Now he can screw it together to test fit

After a lot of welding and grinding

Epoxy primed. Next week I will do a little bodywork

It looks good black. Almost would make me rethink painting it body color, it pops kinda nice.

I added a couple of L brackets that will bolt to the radiator support

SPI white epoxy

I wet sanded lightly with 600 and sprayed 3 coats of SPI Viper Red yesterday and today sprayed SPI Universal clear

Front end is finished now have to put it back together

The owner is waiting for the Stang-aholics upper grille and surround to come in

That is a great tranformation. Car looks much cleaner and newer. The rear bumper treatment was well worth the effort.

Whats with the black turn signal bezels pop riveted in place? Is something else missing? I hate to nit pick but it really grabs my attention of not being worthy of the rest of the car.

Pop rivets came with kit.I sent them an email saying they should be black if you are going to use pop rivets. The upper grille is missing.

Paul picked up the car Saturday and fit the new grille when he got home. He is still waiting for the black surround.

I love that red it really flashes a lot, did a 65 Mustang a few years back and I remember when I was in the paint booth looking at it after clearcoat how it was.

Paul now lives in Blairsville and it has been 13 years since this was painted and he got a trophy (Ibelieve he was second in his class) at the 47th annual NE Mustang Club show at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds.
