A while back Andy posted about Wizards coming out with a "Matte Paint Detailer" that does not add gloss but protect the finish.
Like Andy said they sent us a bottle and it really worked good as far as protecting from bugs and water spotting.

Wizards when we asked if we could buy a one time deal and give a bottle with each gallon came through with a supper price that, I would assume is close to their cost to make it.
Long story short, starting next week we will being including one bottle per order until we run out and then the deal is done, we will not be selling it by itself nor will we be reordering after the $2200 of product we bought is gone (22 0z spray), nor will we send out a bottle for previous orders, Sorry but we have to start somewhere.

The whole idea of this is for people to try and see how good it works and then buy on their own, as we know how hard it is to keep a "Black Matte" clean. 130913_0002.jpg

i turned one of my customers on to it. he loves the stuff. i have yet to try it but wizards does seem to make good stuff.....it usually expensive though. their compound is about double what 3m's is and 3m's price is hard to swallow.

I've used the wipe down before in between stages of buffing, It's been at least 5 years ago that i've used it though..
Seemed to work pretty good, never tried on matte finish though.

You would not want to use regular wipe down aka show in shine stuff on a matte.
This is new and made just for matte finishes, so it does not leave a shine but protects the finish.

interesting.. Looks like the same label as the stuff i've had for many years.. The bottle is now purple though. use to be white.. maybe they changed something.
It was designed to break down the compound to use as a cleaner before going to the next step.
