SPI Epoxy upside down cake

The first time I bought SPI Epoxy primer last year, it was really hard to stir up completely, lots of solids on the bottom.
And the instructions said DON'T use paint shaker.

Since then, when I receive it, I turn the can upside down and give it a quick shake. Every time I walk by it, I turn it the other way and give it a quick shake.

When I'm ready to spray, quick stir and good to go. Easy as cake!

Thought I'd share.

hmmm, i have not read the tech sheet in prob 15 years. i have put every gallon of epoxy i every sprayed on the shaker. thats 100's of gallons over the past 20 years. never caused me any issues with it. everything goes on a shaker here.

my mixer blade is about 40 years old . i made it for the old featherfil . no stick stirring that crap . works great on bedlinner too ...... if Barry ever makes it again :(

Similar to jenkins, I roll my epoxy around on the shop floor the day I'm gonna use it, just push it around with my foot as I go by. By the time I need it a quick stir with a stick is all it needs. I thinking it's better than the paint shaker, no air bubbles although my shaker needs bolted to a better bench so that's another reason I don't use it.

If you have hard settling of pigments, the shaker will not work until you break up the pigments with a paint stick first.
That's why the warning.
