used some spi epoxy induced for 4 hours on my jeep about a month ago had 100 and 180 grit straight blocking scratches on some poly primer and filler did 3 we coats of black spi epoxy hour flash in between i can still see sanding scratches will this go away when i sand or do i need to block ad prime some more i wanted to just epoxy for the final prme. should i stay with this or go to a 2k?

I’m far from an expert, but I can say that I have had the same thing, and those scratches were sanded away in my epoxy. Deep scratches may take another round of epoxy.

I prefer to get the bodywork and block work done to the point where I cant see any scratches in epoxy. After that I let it sit for a few weeks with heat cycles, than I block it down again and urethane hi build it. Than that sits again and one more block before paint. Epoxy is not as much of a filler primer in my experience, its obviously a great bare metal primer, lock down primer and barrier protectant. so it can take a few rounds of epoxy to get your panels looking nice, but when they are you really don't have to worry about them after that as the epoxy really locks it down. I do the last round of blocking and spraying with hi build to help ensure with any other minute soak up that may occur over the curing process the next few weeks that follows. Than epoxy seal before paint.

block with 180 to see if it is straight. if so 2 more coats of epoxy , let set for a few days then block with 600. when ready to base apply 1 reduced even coat of epoxy 1 hr before color.
epoxy will build as well as urethane primer.
