I prefer to get the bodywork and block work done to the point where I cant see any scratches in epoxy. After that I let it sit for a few weeks with heat cycles, than I block it down again and urethane hi build it. Than that sits again and one more block before paint. Epoxy is not as much of a filler primer in my experience, its obviously a great bare metal primer, lock down primer and barrier protectant. so it can take a few rounds of epoxy to get your panels looking nice, but when they are you really don't have to worry about them after that as the epoxy really locks it down. I do the last round of blocking and spraying with hi build to help ensure with any other minute soak up that may occur over the curing process the next few weeks that follows. Than epoxy seal before paint.
