SPI Blue Harley LOL

One of my employees wanted me to make him a blue for his Harley, so took some tints laying around and this was what he wanted, we painted the parts in breezeway and cleared with one wet coat of 4100 so we would not need to buff it, as I told him, I was not buffing no motor cycle and he did not want too either.

He is happy but to me, a Harley should only be black and nothing else but I don't have a cycle. SPI harley2360.jpg

if you could just make that a little darker, maybe a bit courser metallic, add a bit of green pearl for some flop, LOL.

Nice blue! When will it be for sale?

What I did was start mixing and adding dark blue and flake as he wanted, he knew the shade, my only regret is I had no pearls in the plant to add, then we could have created something to talk about but all this was done in one day from disassembly to paint and assembled the next day

LOL, you kill me!

Now I,m a blue fan as I have 4 blue cars and a black truck and the sad part of this color making stuff is I can buy the tints of blue that a jobber cannot get off his paint machine, just like the SPI red, it is a raw tint that the paint companies buy and they add colors to it to make different mixing tints, so a jobber could never match it.

There are two dark blue tints one a GS and the other a RS that are just beautifull with nothing added but expensive to say the least, so the paint companies add a lot of colors to make mixing tints to keep cost down.
I could make some blues, that would make HofC cry but it will not work.

Take the old Viper Blue we had, we sold about 75-125 gallons a month years ago when we had it and I probably got a 100 calls a month asking -compare to this color and this color and do you have a spray out.
I would love about 5 fancy blues from dark to medium but, I would be fired and then all the employees would quit as it is just not worth it.

Paint colors can be a pain.

Ya just gotta be secure in yer manhood to ride a blue Harley........ Not everyone is.... just sayin... lol

you are even more secure in your manhood if you don't even think or worry about it !

LOL
One of my other employees has a black one, well use to be. LOL
He had this brain fart of wanting to add an orange pearl power to some black base and clear, I told him go light but he used the glug-glug method in the base and clear, looked black inside but in sun, it is awful looks almost like the old Mercedes tobacco brown, with an orange cast.
It is top priority on his schedule to rip the bike back apart and do black like it was.
