Special 1967 Plymouth Fury resto

Very good and close friend of mine, John Kozak, recently lost his battle with cancer this past november. Last summer, a group of friends decided to help him out with restoring his 1967 plymouth fury. He had plans of restoring the car before he was diagnosed with bladder cancer in early 2009. We all came together to get this done for him, before it was his time. I had the pleasure of doing all the paint and bodywork to it, as he wouldn't have anyone else touch it. First time using any spi products, universal clear over sikkens base. John, along with the car, was featured in december's issue of mopar collectors guide. He and the car also took center stage at the Carlisle Chrysler Nationals last summer, where he was able to tell his story and the story. This was where the article was written. I've added the article here for everyone to view.

John's wish is to have the car sold and all proceeds given to other cancer patients to help them "check things off their bucketlist" as he would say. Tentative plans are to take the car back to Carlisle this year and have the car sold and do just what he has wished.

Jeremy,

Sorry to hear about your buddy passing. You and your friends did a great job on his car. Love that color!

thanks guys. Was a very cool and memorable project to do. Get mixed reviews on the color but it is a factory color. Last minute decided to paint the roof (originally a pearl white vinyl top) and paint the steel wheels body color.

Thats very honorable of you.. The car looks fantastic also.. Hate to see someone lose their life to cancer, however it shows what type of person he was as well to have the car sold to help others in their fight.... I hope it sells for a ton!!!!
